ACT ONE:

SCENE 1: Today, many in the world think that a developing global environmental crisis has the potential for driving drastic, short-term decisions like wars of all scales. Certainly, there will be increasing global competition for energy and food resources. The problem is that up to 30 percent of food resources and other raw materials, now being used by a growing global human population and its increasing affluence, cannot be replenished by nature.

SCENE 11: The U.N. also estimated that another 300,000 of the world’s children, mostly boys, were being used as enslaved support workers for armies and rogue militias. Some of these kids, as young as 11 or 12, were trained and forced to kill. The first kill for a frightened boy might be a cow. But the second kill might simply be a former young friend, another helpless boy, who had tried to escape the hell in which both boys lived...and failed. Across some African countries the countryside was littered with small human skulls with bullet holes in them.

Even as the U.S. was sending troops to Afghanistan so that teenage girls there could be schooled- without having their throats cut- in America, Muslim girls were being locked up by federal agents for writing Muslims in London!

ACT TWO:

SCENE 3: Upon hearing the police scanner’s chatter on Sunday morning, the entire Russian team got ready. Two of the men immediately skied from the chalet over to the Lions Head gondola. Inside the gondola base station it was obvious that Vail Security was being backed up that morning by U.S. Secret Service agents who were all dressed like Vail employees, albeit with flesh-colored communications earpieces. This morning, Vail Security people were randomly making skiers open up their backpacks. That alone was another good sign that the President was coming to Vail- not to Beaver Creek down the road.

SCENE 4: When it was released, Johnson Commission report essentially said that the killers had “apparently” been hired by Russian mafia interests to “pay back” President Palmer for his Administration’s interference with their various business interests. The killers had all died in a shoot out with law enforcement near Winter Park as they‘d made their escape across Colorado. During the investigation, Attorney General Heber coordinated a media show with the FBI Director, Jason Ward. The FBI rounded up virtually every Russian student and Russian resident alien in the western U.S. for questioning as a “person of interest.” That blanket round up satisfied the ignorant American public’s blood lust that something was being done to “unmask the conspiracy” as Fox TV described it.

SCENE 6: Especially at public events like today’s commencement, Bill would always be amused by how genuinely frightened ordinary people really wanted to be of Yellowstone. For them, Yellowstone seemed like a massive geologic haunted house that was fun to be frightened of, especially of the “monster in the basement.” And like any good carnival ride, it wasn’t any fun for people to be told by Bill that the volcano was really safe.

Then, like any good ghost story teller, Bill would ask the listener, “What if the two super volcano eruptions, Pitchstone and Toba, were somehow in sympathy to each other and they represented the Earth itself, trying to erase people from its surface before we caused too much havoc?“

“ SCENE 13: After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven; he came with great authority and the Earth was lit up with his splendor. Then, in a mighty voice, he proclaimed, ‘Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling for demons, a haunt for every unclean spirit, for every vile and loathsome bird. For all nations have drunk deep of the fierce wine of her fornication; the kings of the Earth have committed fornication with her and merchants of the world over have grown rich on her bloated wealth.” The camera then went to a close up of President Chun’s face, “And it is with sadness of heart that I tell you now President Gallagher is dead by the hand of God. God bless the United States and grant you strength to deal with what will now unfold.”

ACT THREE:

When the end came for Kevin, it was simple, technological and even elegant in its execution… “so Kevin”, as the mechanical engineer from U.W. who found his frozen body would tell others who asked him about how Kevin died. People everywhere were now asking with great interest how their friends and neighbors had killed themselves in terror. People everywhere were planning their deaths, often with greater attention than they had planned for living their lives. It was a profound experience to be truly interested in knowing the length of suffering and methods of various forms of suicide, when considering your own.

Kevin realized that what he was now observing, he was seeing from some hybrid state of existence. Here- wherever he was- he was somehow capable of observing both quantum and dimensional realities. How could this be? And with that question the envelope folded and Kevin realized he was somehow bound to both his dimensional past life and also to the quantum future now pulling him via this parallel state of consciousness. He was like a porpoise, swimming above and below the membrane of the inter-dimension, able to submerge and look back on the stars in the dimensional Universe from which he had just come...and then surface to breath the air of a quantum atmosphere, enveloping him in its wonderful and limitless possibilities. It was too weird and too wonderful, all at the same time.
